Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. Her debut on screen was in her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are all spoken fluently. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian acting schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. The film received two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her career. The role she played was Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a part of The Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. She later played the role of Irma's German grandmother in Fury that was released in 2014.
